DECEMBER 5 - 10
This Canadian Art auction once again demonstrates Waddington’s ability to find the best works from private collections that are fresh to market.
You will have the opportunity to bid on an excellent selection of works from the Painters Eleven including two works by Walter Yarwood that have been in the same collection for decades, as well as a large and striking Alexandra Luke that was acquired directly from the artist’s family, now available for the first time at auction. George Pepper’s Ottawa River Boathouses is a superb example of the artist’s work, and in excellent condition – truly a rare, high quality find making its debut at auction.
Rounding out the auction is a selection of sculpture and other estate gems, including a large canvas by Peter Clapham Sheppard, and two very striking winter scenes by Stanley Francis Turner.

The Canadian Salon
OCTOBER 17 - 22
Before the Group of Seven so strongly influenced collecting tastes in the 1920s and 30s, the walls of this country were hung with paper, panel and canvas works by artists heavily influenced by European and American masters.
This auction includes twenty carefully preserved works from the collection of John M. Rogers, a discerning enthusiast of early Canadian watercolourists, alongside nautical scenes, oils in the American style and outstanding Canadian landscape views. As portraiture was also a common sight in Canadian salons, look for three portraits from the estate of Montreal gallerist Jean Pierre Valentin.VIEW PRICES REALISED
