William Agar Adamson was an Irish-Canadian clergyman and author and wrote for several Irish and British periodicals on subjects centered around sports and nature. The current lot was presented by the author to his sister Sarah Adamson in 1860, who, in turn,inscribed and presented it to her son James Adamson in 1881.
