Appraisals
Effective downsizing and estate planning requires an accurate appraisal of your tangible assets.  Our appraisal services will provide you with the data you need to make informed decisions.

Written Appraisals

Our written appraisals are typically used for insurance, family division, estate planning and probate, donation and fair market assessment.  They meet the requirements of private collectors, asset managers, lawyers, public institutions and corporations, and can be prepared to ISA and USPAP standards meeting the new government required standards.  A fee of $300 per hour (one hour minimum) is charged.  The first hour of an Insurance Appraisal is $400.

Verbal Appraisals

If you need a general sense of what some items in your home are worth, Transitions can provide a ‘walkabout’ service in which a general appraiser will provide verbal estimates of value and advice on dispersal.  A fee of $175 per hour (one hour minimum) is charged.

Online Consultation

Using our Online Consultation service, you can send us descriptions and digital images of your valuables.  Our Transitions team will contact you with our advice as to how we can help, the services we would recommend and the market potential of your items.  This is a complimentary service.
